EAD Luxe Waterbed

A waterbed consists of a sturdy rectangular foam frame, with a zipper inside a fabric casing, which sits on the base platform. It looks like a conventional bed. The overall platform looks like a traditional base or box spring and sits on a reinforced structure.
Waterbeds are typically heated with a type of heating pad. The temperature is controlled via a thermostat and is set to personal preference, usually to the average skin temperature (about 28 °C). A standard heating pad consumes about 150/400 watts. Electricity consumption can vary significantly, depending on insulation, bedding, ambient temperature, and other factors. The estimated annual cost is around €30.
Waterbeds are usually made of soft polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or similar material. They can be repaired with almost any vinyl repair kit.
The benefits of sleeping on a waterbed include:
- Great adaptability: the body adapts perfectly to the mattress, avoiding pressure on the body.
- Reduces stress: with a waterbed, you get better, deeper sleep, reducing daily tension and stress.
- Blood circulation: blood circulation is optimal since there are no pressure points on the body as weight is distributed across the entire mattress.
- Allergy-free: it is a highly recommended type of mattress for those who are allergic to dust mites since bacteria and mites will not appear in this type of mattress.
- Pain relief: continued use of this type of mattress helps to relieve or soften aches and pains, such as joint pain.
- Greater durability: its durability is generally greater than other types of mattresses since the material it is made of does not deteriorate.
- Desired temperature: by heating the water in the mattress, we can set it to the desired temperature and it can be changed at any time for more heat or cold.
